Avian Influenza outbreak in Laos reviewed

(KPL) The ad-hoc committee for Avian influenza prevention held a meeting to discuss and review the implementation of the national strategic plan on Avian influenza outbreak prevention and future preventive plan.
The meeting held this week at Vientiane’s Lao Plaza Hotel drew the attendance of Mr. Khamhoung Heuangvongsy, Deputy-Minister of Public Health.
The participants discussed to find measures to respond to the epidemic outbreak of Avian influenza.
To achieve the goal, Mr. Khamhoung called on officials concerned to summarise the inspection work on the Avian flue outbreak and bird flu prevention output in Laos to the National Avian and Human Influenza Coordinating Office in Vientiane.
He also called for attention to cope with previous shortcomings.
