Oudomsay province drafts strategy on war against drug abuse

(KPL) The Committee on Drug Control and Supervision of Oudomsay held a one-day seminar on drug inspection, control and management.

The closing ceremony took place at the office of the Committee on Drug Control and Supervision of this northern province on 24 February. The Vice-Governor, Mr. Khampheng Chittavong and Deputy Head of the Committee on Drug Control and Supervision, Mr. Kou Chansina and seven chiefs of districts of Oudomsay province attended this event.

During the seminar sessions, Mr. Thongphanh Bouaphakham, Head of the Committee on Drug Control and Supervision of Oudomsay said, “The main thrust of our plan for next year would be prevention of the cultivation of opium poppy, rehabilitation of opium addicts and dissemination of the harmful effects of drug consumption to the general public”
