Deputy PM meets Myanmar delegation

(KPL) Mr. Asang Laoly, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Inspection Commission, on 26 February received at his office in Vientiane a courtesy visit of a Myanmar delegation of the Home Affairs Ministry led by its Minister Maj- Gen Maung Oo.

The Myanmar delegation arrived here on 22 February for a week long visit to Laos as guest of the Lao government.

At the meeting, Mr. Asang Laoly praised and highly valued the visit to Laos of the Myanmar delegation as a big contribution to further strengthening the traditional friendly relation and co-operation between Laos and Myanmar, especially in the field of security
affairs.

On this occasion, Minister Maj. Gen. Maung Oo expressed thanks to Mr. Asang Laoly for his warm welcome and briefed him about the activities of the Myanmar delegation made during their stay in Vientiane, especially the results of the working session between his delegation and the Lao ministry of public security.
