Laos, China exchange information on social science

(KPL) Lao National Social Science Institute and Quangxi Social Science Institute of China signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on exchange of findings in social science in Vientiane on June 30.
The two signatories are Dr Sileua Bounkham, Head of the Lao National Social Science Institute, and Professor Lu Yusheng, President of Quangxi Social Science Institute of China.
The MoU covers the area of exchange of research information, mutual dissemination of findings in social science, joint organization of a seminar on social science and translation and publication of research findings. The Quangxi Social Science Institute said it would upgrade the knowledge of the officials of the Lao National Social Science Institute.
The three-year agreement comes into effect from July 1 and the two sides would reconsider its renewal prior to its expiry in 2012.
