Rehabilitation of people with mental illness assessed

(KPL) The Lao People with Disability Association held a meeting to assess the implementation of the Community-based Rehabilitation of Patients with Mental Illness over the last one year.

The meeting was attended by Senior Consultant of Basic Need Organisation of England, Mr. Steve Fisher, and Deputy Head of the Heath Department, Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Khamtone Bouaphaivanh.

The Community-based Rehabilitation of Patients with Mental Illness is financed by the Department of International Development, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of England, through the Basic Need Organisation of England. The project has been implemented since 2007 in seven districts of Saysettha, Sikhottabong, Nasaithong, Saythany, Park Ngum, Sangthong and Hardsaifong.
