Defence minister visits focal development area of Thongmisay

(KPL) Lieutenant General Douangchay Phichit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence and his delegation last week visited the focal development area of Thongmisay, Borikhamsay province.
While there, Mr. Douagchay was warmly welcomed and briefed about the infrastructure development in the area from Mr. Thongonh Khamphouban, Vice Governor of Bolikhamsay province, especially in the sector of defense and security affairs.
The focal development area of Thongmisay comprised with 6 villages with 376 households and 2005 people, of which 1000 are female. In the past few years, the government as well as the provincial authorities has spent a number of fund resource to develop this area, particularly to build the roads, irrigation, clearance of cultivation land, build school, hospital and other infrastructure.
