NOSPA marks its 15th anniversary

(KPL) The National Organisation for the Study of Politics and Administration (NOSPA) held at its auditorium on 1 March a meeting to mark its 15th founding anniversary.

Amongst the guests were Mr. Samane Vignaketh, LPRP CC Politburo member who is also in charge of the Theory and Culture Affairs of the Party, ministers, deputy-ministers and a number of senior officials at the central and local level.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Kikeo Khaykhamphitoune, LPRP CC member and NOSPA Director, highlighted the activities and achievements gained by NOPSA so far.

NOSPA is an organisation of the Party tasked to building Party members on political and ideological affairs and it is also a national centre for researching on political and administrative affairs.

The government created NOPSA in 1995, following the merger of the National School of Administration and Management and the School for Higher Studies in Political Theory.

NOPSA organises workshops as well as short- and long-term training courses to upgrade the qualifications of senior government managers so that they are better able to lead people under their jurisdiction, to motivate, innovate and communicate.

In the past, a number of four-to-ten-month courses, particularly for local officials, have been organised. Since 1992, four-year bachelor-degree courses covering subjects such as public administration, management and political theory have been organised.
