Luang Prabang trains tour guides

(KPL ) The Tourism Service of Luang Prabang province in cooperation with the Lao National Tourism Administration, UNESCO and the World Heritage Organisation held in the province the 1st tour guide training for tour operators in the province on March 2-7.

Chaired by Head of the Tourism Service of Luang Prabang province, Mr. Khamphou Phommavong, the training is aimed at ensuring that tour guides have adequate knowledge on tourist sites to facilitate domestic visitors and foreign tourists.

The trainees learn history of the world heritage town of Luang Prabang and the vision on cultural and traditional preservation of the province.

The trainees also have field training at well-known tourist sites in the province.
