Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare reviews 2009’s work

(KPL) The Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare held a meeting to review its work in 2009 in Vientiane on 4 February.

Chaired by Ms Onechanh Thammavong, Deputy Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, the meeting was attended by representatives of state audit organisations and party inspection committee.

The meeting reviewed the inspection work, inspection on the implementation of decrees and orders of the ministry and implementation plan on labour and social welfare in 2009.

The inspection department of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, which focused on inspection of the work of the state stated that it had detected some weak points. So there was an urgent need to improve and seek solutions to the weaknesses.

During this meeting the participants also discussed on how best to draft a five-year plan, 2011-2015, for this ministry.
