Vientiane Province receives assistance

(KPL) The Women’s Union of the Ministry of Information and Culture in cooperation with Vientiane Women’s Union granted 30 million kip through Vientiane Province Governor to ethnic people in Muen district, the 13th district of Vientiane province, last week.
The package, including consumer goods and educational materials, was presented by the presidents of both unions Ms. Anong Vongsa and Ms. Inkham Phandala respectively to the governor of Muen district.
Established in March, Muen district brings together 23 villages of 9,287 families, which totally house 33,600 people.
On the same day, the Mekong Construction and Development Co., provided over 5 million kip to the Lao Front for National Construction to present to Poor people in rural areas.
The donation, worth 5.4 million kip, was presented by the president of the Mekong Construction and Development Co., Mr. Bounthan Chanthavaddy and received by Deputy Director of the Lao Front for National Construction Mr. Kenta Kongbounmy. The package includes mosquito nets and clothes..
