High-end furniture returns to local market
(KPL) A private Duomo-U-sabai has imported high-end furniture, which are usually available abroad, for domestic sale. Duomo opened its showroom at Haisok village, Chanthaboury district, last Saturday. The showroom displays a wide range of wood-bamboo-mixed furniture such as beds, sofas, dining tables, lamp shades and vases. “These furniture items available locally are produced in Thailand, which are usually exported to Europe. Nowadays we see a lot of Chinese products of poor quality flooding the local market. So we bring in quality products for the locals,” said General Director of the showroom Mr. Sone Savivanh. He said that though his furniture items were produced in Bangkok, they are sold at cheaper prices than selling in the origin. We have not yet projected how much we will have sold this year as we are just introducing the products to the local market, said Mr. Sone. Since Lao people maintain a taste of wooden furniture, our products meet their demand. And they are environmentally friendly, added Mr. Sone Savivanh.
