Laos, Vietnam share experience on civil servants administration
(KPL) Laos and Vietnam exchanged lesson on civil servant administration on 5 May, in Vientiane Capital, to implement previous memorandum of understanding signed between two countries in 2006. The discussion took place during Vietnamese delegation led by Mr Tan Huy Thang, Vietnamese Minister of Interior met Mrs Bounpheng Mounphosai, Minister to Prime Minister’s Office, Head of Public Administration and Civil Servant Authority. The meeting aimed at exchanging and sharing lessons on public administration and civil servants between Laos and Vietnam to improve the administration of local authorities. So far, Lao government has paid an effort to improve laws in different areas in line with the demand of new period as a result the new structure of government has been improved. In addition, many plans for civil servants administration and salary of civil servants have also been improved. The Public Administration and Civil Service Authority has been improved, thanks to a great contribution of Party and Government as well as people. At the same day, Mr Thang, Minister of Interior and his delegation also called on Deputy Prime Minister Asang Laoly who is also President of State Inspection Authority. Mr Asang expressed welcome Vietnamese delegation and valued the visit considering as a great contribution to the existing all-round cooperation and special solidarity between Laos and Vietnam.
