17 ministries and organisations to receive salary through bank

(KPL) 17 ministries and relevant organisations have inked with the Banque pour le Commerce Exterior Lao on an agreement of paying salary of civil servants through banking system.
Signatories to Thursday’s agreement were Director of the BCEL Mr. Sonesay Sithphasay, representative of Party Central Committee Office Mrs. Vilaythong Sounnalath, Cabinet in Chief of Finance Ministry Mr. Sanya Paseuth among the witness of concern parties.
Ministries and relevant organisation that will have their government officials get salary through banking system of BCEL with their ATM credit cards are: National Assembly, Presidential Palace, Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Energy and Mining, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Ministry of Health, Party Central Committee Office, Committee of External Affairs of Party Central Committee, Education and Propaganda Committee of Party Central, Inspection Committee of Party Central, Central Party Organisation, Kaysone Phomvihane Museum, Veterans’ Federation and the National Tourism Administration.
According to the Ministry of Finance the said ministries and relevant organisations will have their salary payment done through banking system in this 2007-2008 fiscal year.
