Prime Minister receives Vinh Phuc delegation of Vietnam

(KPL) Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh, received at his office, on Friday, in Vientiane, a courtesy visit of a high-ranking delegation of Vinh Phuc province of Vietnam, headed by its Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Chinh Dinh Dung.
The Prime Minister expressed his warm welcome and added he highly valued the working visit to Laos of this delegation, which was a milestone in furthering the relations and long-standing all-around bilateral cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.
On this occasion, Dung informed PM Bouphavanh of the outcomes of the delegation’s visit to Luang Namtha, as well as the two provinces’ recent cooperation results and plans for the years to come.
As a twinned province, Vinh Phuc has donated money to help Luang Namtha build schools, including a political school to the tune of USD 500,000. It has annually granted scholarships to 15 Lao students for studying at Vietnamese universities and colleges.
Vinh Phuc also provided the Lao province with USD one million to finance the construction of a friendship culture palace that was inaugurated on Jan. 12.
Additionally, Vinh Phuc has established cooperative ties with the Lao northern provinces of Oudomsay and Phongsaly. It already gave each of them USD 100,000 to build schools and assisted a number of students from the provinces to pursue study in Vietnam.
On the same day, Mr Bouasone Bouphavanh, received a Chinese delegation led by Mr Dink Xong Ly, Deputy Minister of Science of China.
