SEA Games Golf Club opened
(KPL) The Government leaders last Saturday participated in an official inaugural ceremony of the SEA Games Golf Club for public in Vientiane Capital. The leading officials included Vice-President Bounnhang Vorachit, and Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh. The golf course was built by the Boo Young Company, the Republic of Korea, with an investment of US$15 million, to serve the 25th SEA Games hosted by Laos last month. The President of Boo Young Company, Mr. Lee Joong Keun spoke at the Grand Opening ceremony that the construction work began on 13 January 2008 and completed on 27 October 2009. The construction was carried out by the ASEAN Civil Bridge-Road Company. The course built on 150 hectares with three courses and 27 holes at Phokham village (KM 18), Saythany district, Vientiane Capital. Boo Young Company has been granted a 50-year concession by the Lao government.
