Phongsaly governor boosts agriculture in Pakphae village cluster

(KPL ) Mr. Khamsane Souvong, Governor of Phongsaly province, on January11-14. visited Pakphae village cluster, May district, Phongsaly province, to boost the dry season’s agricultural production in the village group.
While meeting with the locals, Mr. Khamsane urged the local authorities and people to pay attention to the promotion of their agricultural production.
The visiting governor was also informed by the local authorities of the socio-economic development in the village over the past years.
Pakphae village group has a population of over 2,7oo living in 344 households. Most people in the village group make a living from agriculture such as rice farming and animal husbandry.
Over 70 ha of land in the village cluster is put under rice and over 271 ha of land is for planting various cash crops.
