Lao and Vietnamese Public Works ministers visit Phongsaly

(KPL) Mr. Sommad Pholsena, Minister of Public Works and Transport, and Vietnamese deputy minister of Transport, on 12-14 January visited Phongsaly province.
Mr. Sommad and his delegation were briefed about the transport and public works development in this northernmost province by Governor Khamsan Souvong, especially on road construction. Mr. Sommad and his delegation then inspected the Road No. 2E construction project which commenced on 26 March 2009 and is expected to be completed in 2012.
The 70-km long road No. 2E is jointly constructed by a Lao-Vietnamese construction company.
