Minister for Information and Culture leaves for Myanmar
(KPL) A high ranking delegation of the ministry of information and culture led by its minister Mounkeo Oraboun left here on Tuesday for a short working visit to the Union of Myanmar from 19-24 January. The visit is being made at the invitation of Myanmar Minister for Culture Maj-Gen Khin Aung Myint. While in Myanmar, Mr. Mounkeo Oraboun and his delegation will attend the Ministerial Roundtable meeting on cultural affairs for Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam which will be held between 20-22 January in NAY PYI TAW, the capital city of Myanmar. At the meeting, the ministers from four country of Cambodia-Lao PDR-Myanmar-Vietnam (CLMV) will discuss a number of issues relating to the strengthening unity and friendship, cementing cultural cooperation and exchange, developing package tourism, and exchanging experiences in preventing illegal transfer and traffic of cultural wealth. Mr. Mounkeo Oraboun and his delegation were seen off at the ministry of information and culture by its deputy ministers, many other officials and Myanmar ambassador to Laos.
