LFTU's 6th plenary session closes

(KPL) The 6th plenary session of the Lao Federation of Trade Unions wrapped up here last Friday with great achievements.

The closing ceremony was attended by President of the Lao Front for National Construction Sisavath Keobounphanh.

The 6th plenary session reported achievements and weak points of the federation's operation over the past five years and discussed preparatory works for its sixth congress which is scheduled for this year end.

"This sixth plenary session of the Lao Federation of Trade Unions summarised works and activities over the past five years and congratulated outstanding officials for their contribution, approved by the 5th plenary session of the Lao National Federation of Trade Union,"said President of the Lao Federation of Trade Unions, Mr. Vongpheth Saykeuyachongtoua.

The participants have shared points of view on the political report and result of the inspection on the operation of the Lao National Federation of Trade Unions.

He has highly valued the achievements and weak points of the federation over the past five years.

Mr. Vongpheth called on all members of the Lao Federation of Trade Unions to seriously heed the implementation of the 8th resolution of the LPRP Congress and the 6th resolution of the LFTU's 5th Congress.

At the closing ceremony, Mr. Vongpheth has awarded Labour medals and congratulatory certificates to 31 outstanding officials of Lao Federation of Trade Unions.
