MMG donates copper to cast Buddha statue
(KPL) The Minerals and Metals Group's (MMG), Sepon Mine, Savannakhet province, donated three tonnes of copper to the Lao government for casting the"Ongtue" Buddha image in this central province.
The value of the donated copper was US$ 20,000 or 163 million kip.
President of the Provincial Lao Buddhist Federation, Venerable Maha Ngone Damlongboune, and Governor of Savannakhet province, Mr. Vilayvanh Phomkhe, received the copper from a representative of this miner in Kaysone Phomvihane district, Savannakhet province last week.
