Phongsavanh Bank establishes new branch in Sayaboury
(KPL) Phongsavanh Bank has begun constructing new branch in Sayaboury province and held the groundbreaking ceremony to commence the construction of its branch on 18 January. Present at the ceremony were Dr. Lien Thikeo, Governor of Sayaboury province, and Mr. Od Phongsavanh, Director of Phongsavanh Bank and relevant officials. The construction being carried out on 800 sqm costs around 17 billion kip (two million US dollars) and it is expected to be complete within twelve months. The branch is designed to have seven storeys. “Phongsavanh Bank will do its best to provide financial service, which is differently competitive to those provided by other financial institutes,” said Mr. Chanpheng Luangsuvannavong, Deputy Director of Phongsavanh Bank. Over the last three years, Phongsavanh Bank has received the acceptation and trust from the society,” said Mr. Chanpheng. Based in Vientiane, Phongsavanh Bank has four branches and nine service units functional and most of them are equipped with cutting-edge financial transaction facilities such as automated teller machine (ATM). The bank plans to have as many as 17 branches and 50 unit services nationwide and open representative offices in neighbouring countries such as Thailand, Vietnam and China.
