Australian National Day

(KPL) Ms. Michele Amme Forster, Ambassador of Australia to Laos hosted a reception to mark the 222 anniversary of the Commonwealth of Australia on Wednesday night.
Present at the reception were Dr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, ministers, deputy ministers; members of the diplomatic corps and representatives of the international organizations in Laos. Also invited to the event were Australian experts and volunteers working in the Lao PDR.
Australia is one of the donors that provides multi-faceted assistance for Laos, particularly rural development, sanitation, and community development.
Laos and Australian diplomatic relations were established on 16 January, 1952.
