APB doubles loan release for Saravane
(KPL) In the first six months of this current fiscal year, the Agricultural Promotion Bank’s branch in Saravane has released over 50.9 billion kip of loans to people in the southern province, doubling that of last year’s same period.
Deputy Head of the Agricultural Promotion Bank’s branch in Saravane, Mr. Vethsouvanh Souliyaki, said that most of the bank’s loans had gone to the production of monsoon rice crops, cassava, sweet potatoes, peanuts, soya and maize.
Mr. Vethsouvanh said that the bank’s branch would release as much as 12 billion kip of loans for the second half of this fiscal year, mainly to promote the market-oriented agricultural production of farmers in the province.
The Government’s Agricultural Promotion Bank has 17 branches across the country.
