Champassak Vice-Governor promotes market-oriented local production
(KPL) Last week, Vice-Governor of Champassak province, Mr. Somsanith Bouttivong, who is also President of the Provincial Committee for Drought and Flooding Prevention of Champassak, visited Pathoumphone, Khong and Phongthong districts to promote market-oriented local agricultural production.
The Vice-Governor visited an earthen bowl factory and the papaya plantation of Phoulouang Agriculture Company in Pathoumphone district.
He urged the authorities of the three districts to pay more attention to promoting the market-oriented production of farmers in their localities.
In addition, the Vice-Governor also presented rice seeds to the local authorities for further distribution to families hit by drought in recent months to ensure the rice crop in the localities.
Mr. Somsanith also participated in a petanque competition held in Phonthong district to welcome the sixth meeting of the Provincial Party Cell of Champassak, due soon.
