Luang Prabang has more water resources reserve
(KPL) Luang Prabang province has allocated Vang Ngoua in Hard-hien village as the second water resources reserve in Luang Prabang district.
A ritual ceremony for allocating the natural reserve was held last Saturday. The preservation is designed to ensure the sustainable exploitation of food stuff source and ecological diversity of the local people.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Head of Health Service of Luang Prabang district, Dr. Vilavong Ladsavong and authorities.
Last week, the province allocated the first water resources reserve in Nounsavath village, Luang Prabang district, and a forest reserve in Nasangveui village in the same name district.
“These water resources and forest reserves are the fruits of cooperation between the Strengthening the Role of Women and Community Project and the Community Organisations Development Institute (CODI) of Thailand,” said Mrs. Montha.
