Lao Telecom helps to install transmission line in Phouvong

(KPL) The Lao telecom company provided 1.46 billion kip, installing 12.7 KV and 0.4 kilovolts of transmission line in Nam Kong village, Phouvong district, Attapeu province.
The agreement was signed on 22 June at the Lao Telecom Headquarter, among Mr. Thansamai Kommasit, General Director of Lao Telecom Company and Mr. Sinai Mienglavanh, Attapeu Governor and Mr. Amphone Phommachane, Acting Head of Electricity Installation and Construction State Enterprise.
Phouvong district is one out of three poorest districts in Attapeu province. Presently, Phouvong district is focusing on infrastructure development, including the road construction, the electricity installation with the aim of improving living conditions of local people and other facility.
The potential resource of Phouvong district is the construction of hydropower dam and cash crop production and animal raising.
