NA Vice President praises Nga’s materialization of 8th Party Congress’ resolution

(KPL) Mrs. Pany highly appreciated the local authorities and people in Nga district for their achievement in materialization of 8th Party Congress’ resolution under the leadership of the party cell of Oudomsay province.
She also highly valued the authorities and people’s fulfillment in ensuring public security in the district.
Mrs. Pany Yathortou, Vice President of the National Assembly visited Nga district, Oudomsay province on 21 January.
She also urged the party committee and authorities at all levels in Nga district to continue leading the local people to reduce their poverty in line with the guidance of the party.
Nga district has 63 villages which totally house 28,652 people. Twenty-four per cent of its population is Lao loum (lowland Lao), 57 per cent is Kumu (a tribe of midland Lao) and 19 per cent is Hmong (a tribe of highland Lao), said Chief of Nga district, Mr. Thongphien Yulisay.
The rice farmland in the district is 3,435 ha and around 7,500 tonnes of rice are yielded annually.
