Hophakeo, That Luang and Sisaketh receive over 29,000 tourists last month

(KPL) Over 29,000 visited three main well-known tourist sites in Vientiane last December 2009.
Hophakeo temple received over 16,000 tourists in last month, Sisaketh temple took 5,000, and That Louang had 8,000.
“The number of tourists is increased by three folds over the same period last year and this positive environment reflects the recovery in tourism of Vientiane,” said Deputy Director of Vientiane Museum, Mr. Khochone Keomanyvong.
“We hope that the three main tourist sites of Vientiane will receive a very large number of both domestic and foreign tourists when Vientiane celebrates its 450th anniversary of its proclamation as the national capital of Laos, which will last seven days in November this year,” added Mr. Khochone.
