Vice-President guides Kaysone Phomvihane monument maintenance

(KPL) The Kaysone Phomvihane monument will be well maintained nation-wide to ensure that young people can learn the great moral qualities of the late president, said Vice President Bounnhang Vorachith.

At a meeting held in Vientiane on 24 February, Mr. Bounnhang said that officials responsible for maintaining Kaysone Phomvihane monument should ensure that the maintenance and decoration of the monument is effective.

Technical officials responsible for maintaining the monument should apply lessons they learned from foreign countries to the maintenance, said Mr Bounnhang.

At the meeting, Mr Bounnhang briefly highlighted the outstanding contribution to the country of late President Kaysone Phomvihane, who was the great leader of the Party and State. Thus Party members, military and police officers, and civil servants nation-wide should pay respect and gratitude to late President Kaysone Phomvihane.
