Message of congratulations
(KPL) President Choummaly Sayasone has sent a message of greetings to His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia. The telegram says:
"On the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of Malaysian National Day, I am pleased to convey the warmest greetings and best wishes to Your Majesty and the friendly Malaysian people.
"I am confident that the existing friendly relations and co-operation between the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and Malaysia will further broaden and flourish".
Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh and Foreign Minister Thongloun Sisoulith sent similar telegrams to their counterparts.
