Sayaboury teachers improve how to use manual for teaching
(KPL) More than 200 teachers of Sayaboury province have learnt about the use of textbook and manual to improve their teaching technical skills.
The training course was held in Sayaboury province from 25 August to 3 September, under the sponsorship of the Basic Education Sector Development Project and Asian Development Bank.
Mr. Manosinh Masavongdy, Deputy Director of Lower Secondary Education Department, Ministry of Education said that the training course is aiming at upgrading knowledge and teaching technique of lower secondary school’s teachers.
This training course was also to give opportunity for teachers to share experiences on teaching.
The training course is one out of many activities of national education reform project so as to ensure achievement in the implementation of national education strategy, said Mr. Manosine.
He stated further the quality of education was low if compared the demand of educational works in the new era, according to the 2009-2010 result examination of lower secondary school.
"The low score of students was caused by inappropriate teaching curriculum," said Mr. Manosine.
A ten-day training course, the participants have also learnt 16 subjects and improved teaching skills.
