Young Party members to visit Japan
(KPL) A delegation of 55 members of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, who are visiting Japan from February 9 to 18, was seen off in a ceremony held at the Lao Plaza Hotel last Friday The visit is to attend the celebration of the 55th anniversary of the Laos-Japan diplomatic relation. The Lao visitors will be engaged in various exchange activities during the 10-day stay in Japan, such as visiting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the Japanese Diet for a lecture on the administrative system of Japan, and visiting Hokkaido or Gifu prefecture for understanding the promotion policies of local industries, tourism and agriculture in Japan. At the seeing-off ceremony, Japanese Ambassador, Mr. Masaaki Miyashita hoped that through their visit to Japan, these promising young leaders of the Lao PDR would deepen their understanding of Japanese politics, administrative system, economy and culture for further strengthening ties of partnership between Japan and the Lao PDR. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Xaysi Santivong, Vice-Chairman of the Central Committee for Organisation and Personnel and other high-ranking officials of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party.
